If so, the COMSYS_Hackathon-4, organized by COMSYS Educational Trust, Kolkata, and conducted by CodeClub Jadavpur University, Kolkata, is the ultimate platform for you to showcase your expertise and innovative thinking. This will be a hybrid event – the first round is online and second round is Online Presentation Round. and it will be a part of the 5th International Conference on Frontiers in Computing and Systems (COMSYS-2024).

About the Conference

COMSYS-2024 is set to take place from the 13th - 15th of December, 2024, at the prestigious BITS Pilani K. K. Birla Goa Campus Goa, India. Jointly organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BITS Pilani Goa and COMSYS Educational Society, Kolkata, India. the conference is designed to be a melting pot of cutting-edge research and breakthroughs in the realm of computing and systems. This year’s theme, “Cyber-physical Systems for Real-life Applications,” will delve into various tracks such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Data Science, Devices, Circuits and Systems, Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Communication Networks, Cloud Computing, Security, and IoT, and Image, Video, and Signal Processing.

COMSYS_Hackathon-4:

As a proud component of the COMSYS-2024 conference, COMSYS_Hackathon-4 promises to be an exhilarating journey through the world of machine learning and data science. This exciting competition is divided into two rounds designed to challenge your skills and creativity.

Round 1 (Online):

This round consists of two tracks. Teams must participate in both tracks to be eligible for the next round.

  1. Few Shot Video Genre Classification: YouTube has become an essential part of our daily lives, with countless users filtering videos by genre to find their favourites. Imagine building an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based classifier, which can accurately identify video genres with just a few samples. This task requires delving deep into Computer Vision techniques to create a highly efficient and effective solution. Are you ready to tackle this exciting challenge and push the boundaries of video classification? Harness the power of AI, innovate, and create something truly remarkable. Let's make this challenge awesome!
  2. Audio Identification Quest: Following the Video Genre Classification challenge, we bring you the Audio Identification Quest! Dive into the fascinating world of audio analysis, where your task is to discern unique features from audio clips and use them to categorize various attributes. Get ready to explore new dimensions in audio processing and create cutting-edge solutions. Unleash the power of AI, innovate, and create something extraordinary. Show your prowess and ace the challenge.

Round 2 (Online Presentation Round):

Having conquered the challenges of Round 1, the participants will progress to the next phase—a rigorous online presentation round. In this stage, participants will delve into their experience in the competition, providing a comprehensive overview of the methodologies they employed. They will articulate the strategic reasoning behind their choices and demonstrate how these approaches influenced their final outcomes. The panel of judges will be keenly evaluating the depth of understanding, innovation, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

About the Conference

The 5th International Conference on Frontiers in Computing and Systems (COMSYS-2024) will be held during December 13-15, 2024, at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa, India to be jointly organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BITS Pilani Goa and COMSYS Educational Society, Kolkata, India. The main objective of COMSYS-2024 is going to present the latest research and results of scientists with a theme “Cyber-physical Systems for real-life applications” pertaining to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Data Science; Devices, Circuits and Systems; Computational Biology and Bioinformatics; Image, Video, and Signal Processing; Communication Networks, Cloud computing, Security, and IoT. This conference provides opportunities for delegates from different areas to exchange new ideas and application experiences face-to-face to establish academic or research collaborations.
